
Random Rain
This project was originally created for GameDevDD Jam 1, where the theme was “Fall.”
What you’re about to play is more of a proof of concept than a fully developed game, but it showcases the core idea I wanted to explore.
Your goal is to protect the Chungus, the big grey creature in the center of the map, from waves of approaching enemies. Since the player has no direct attacks, your only way to defend it is by collecting and carrying items that randomly fall from the rain. Feed the Chungus with everything you can find to help it survive!
Pro tip: Whenever the Chungus creates something, you get a bit of health back.
Note: I’m considering expanding this project into a Metroidvania-style game in the future.
